2010 Garden Haul
Produce I have harvested from my garden:
7.5 lbs tomatoes (frozen)
7 lbs tomatoes (ketchup)
6lbs tomatoes (canned)
6 lbs tomatoes (roasted and frozen)
5 acorn squash
2 pumpkins, one stolen :(
3.5 lbs tomatillos (salsa verde)
2 bags of raspberries
2 batches of arugula pesto (4 cups)
16 jars of pickles (cukes, dill and garlic harvested from my greenhouse)
30 bulbs of garlic
2 lbs purple peacock beans
1 handful of fava beans (fava hummus!)
6lbs zucchini grated and frozen
4 ears of corn :(

Our compensation model is designed to pay you royalties based on a percentage of the revenue generated through some of our various business activities. These include revenue generated through advertising, the creation and sale of e-books, print books, certain affiliate programs and more. As well, in consideration of your monthly submissions, we will pay you a monthly advance on these royalties.
It’s our philosophy to support our authors by letting them focus on what they like to do: write. We’ll take care of the technology, marketing, search engine optimization, hosting, social media and so forth. We have a team of technologists, business people, editors, sales and marketing professionals and social media experts who are dedicated to promoting your writing at Life As A Human. This is a strong team of internet pioneers who have built several successful companies online and who are contributing to make Life As A Human a major new player in the Internet media world.
It is possible for individual bloggers to do well on their own, but it requires hard work and multiple skill sets. One author might generate a few hundred thousand page views a month after a few years of effort developing a blog, creating a market, and hiring people for marketing, social media, SEO, hosting, blog configurations, programming, research, etc; but we are taking on a limited number of authors and have a team of professionals to do all that heavy lifting for them. If we harness all of that energy and bring it together, we believe that we will generate many millions of page views a month and quickly become one of the elite sites on the internet.
Unlike other collective blogging sites that try to get as many authors as possible fighting on a competition basis for the revenue generated, we are an exclusive site with a limited number of handpicked authors.
We are taking the approach that original and exciting writing will generate readership and that over time we can create a wonderful hub of activity with millions of page views that will generate income for the authors.
Life As A Human is launching in February of 2010. It will take a few months to generate the page views necessary for reasonable financial returns as the online advertising business responds to traffic and not to abstractions. We therefore will be able to pay your advance on royalties and grow your revenue, but it will take a few months of activity before revenue begins to mount. We are confident in the extreme that we will succeed!
As part of our select group, we will keep you apprised of your page views and site development, and we will promote the heck out of your writing.
