My yard is a disaster area and the thought of listening to more jackhammering and excavation tomorrow makes me want to stab my eardrums with hot metal skewers. All the cement is being removed, yes, all. That includes the 2 layers of cement on the patio, and 4, yes, you read that right FOUR fricken layers of cement on the back side of the house.
Surprises we found: a pot pipe in the greenhouse (it's not mine!), a sump full of water UNDER the patio, a rotten sill all round where the patio was, and a hole of some sort that vanishes below the house. Tomorrow I'm sure we will find more treasures as we dig deeper for the perimeter drain. I'm hoping for money...
Good-bye sweet greenhouse, you have served me well over the past 3 years.
